• Company Description: *

Founded in 2010, SOHO Lashes is the Premier Eyelash Extensions and Makeup boutique in Hampton Roads with 2 locations, Chesapeake and Virginia Beach. We are seeking a highly motivated, licensed Esthetician to perform Lash Extensions, Facial services and Body Waxing. The Esthetician would be required to consistently provide clients with the ultimate boutique experience as well as build strong relationships with new and existing clients.

• Responsibilities: *
• Eyelash extensions experience is *NOT* required. We will train you
• Valid Virginia State Cosmetology or Esthetician License
• A minimum of 6 months of facial and waxing experience; high-end retail, spa or hospitality experience is a plus
• Build a client base through exceptional client service, attention to detail and care within the boutique
• Deliver efficient, consistent lash extensions, facials and waxing service
• Design specific eyelash, facial and wax treatments based upon client’s individual needs
• Upholds the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by state law and the boutique’s policies and procedures
• Maintains and seeks knowledge of SOHO Lashes exclusive product lines and services by attending new product promotions, in-house instruction, and education/training classes
• Helps maintain professionalism and cleanliness of treatment rooms and common boutique areas
• Ability to promote and recommend various company offered products and educate each client about aftercare practices.
• Educate and explain to clients about cosmetic products ingredients and their benefits.
• Handle and resolve all clients’ queries, promptly and effectively.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work well with a diverse staff at all times.
• Skills and Personal Qualities*
• Patience. Applying a full set of lash extensions to both eyes can take anywhere from between 1 1/2 to 3 hours so good patience is essential.
• Steady hands. This is painstaking work that involves adding a lash at a time (sometimes 45-100 extensions per eye) to existing lashes so a steady hand is vital.
• Attention to detail.
• Accuracy. A lot of the work that eyelash technicians carry out is highly technical and meticulous requiring exceptionally high levels of accuracy.
• Excellent eyesight.
• Artistic.
• Good depth perception.
• Dexterity.
• High concentration levels. a lack of concentration at any time could result in poor results and possibly also injury to the lash hairs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $8.00 – $19.00 per hour
